Our Mission & Vision

The MISSION of the National Golf Player Development Foundation is, “To provide unprecedented funding opportunities to programs that provide skill development and playing opportunities to young people of color and connect them to premier experiences in competitive golf.”

Our VISION is, “To inspire young people of color to become purpose driven players in the game of golf.”

We believe that every young person should have the opportunity to experience the values inherent in the game of golf, regardless of their background or financial circumstances.

Many talented young golfers from underserved communities face significant financial obstacles that prevent them from accessing coaching, training, equipment, and competitive opportunities. With your support, we can remove these obstacles and provide these young athletes with the tools they need to succeed, both on the course and in life. Your generosity allows us to fund coaching, provide equipment, cover tournament fees, and offer mentorship programs that change lives.

The National Golf Player Development Foundation was created to provide unprecedented funding and resource assistance to programs and individuals that provide skill development and playing opportunities for young people of color and connect them to premier experiences in competitive golf.”  NGPDF seeks to significantly elevate the playing ability of young people of color by providing financial resources and support services to promote a players skill development.

In 2023, NGPDF began providing financial and resource support for our members.  Financially, this support comes in the form of The Golf Reimbursement Incentive Program (GRIP), a grants program to offset the cost of tournament and greens fees, instructional fees and practice fees.  Through our many resource partners, we are able to support our members playing, physical and mental skill development.

Our members and their parents do a great job of working to improve their skills.  Members play in national, state and local tournaments. Equally important is, collectively, each of our members maintained GPAs of 3.6 or higher.

2025 has continued to produced many successes however, we have much more to do to continue to impact these young people.  With your support, National Golf Player Development Foundation will increase the benefits and opportunities for these dedicated, purpose driven competitive golfers of color from underserved communities.

Thank you in advance for your continued support.
